UZH Space Hub

Access to International Space Station ISS

International Space Station ISS (NASA)

Conventional research use of the International Space Station ISS is strongly influenced by obstacles and barriers, be it of a technical, operational or bureaucratic nature - and last but not least, above all, by the high costs associated with a space mission. The aim of the Space Hub is to tackle this paradigm together with industrial partners and to break down barriers to the scientific and industrial use of the ISS. A recently completed pilot experiment shows that this works: Together with the Swiss-Israeli company SpacePharma, the UZH Space Hub has successfully carried out a bioscientific experiment from idea to space on the International Space Station in a record time of three months.
