Space4Impact joins the Showcase 2030

The Tech4Impact Showcase 2030 is coming back for its third edition this June 13th – 14th and Space4Impact is joining the program with a half-day session on space.

Showcase 2030

As the biggest sustainability summit in Switzerland, the Showcase 2030 brings together leading actors of the impact ecosystem for two days of inspiration, action, and networking at EPFL’s SwissTech Convention Centre in Lausanne. From visionary keynotes, fireside chats, and impact stories, to interactive masterclasses and multi-stakeholder action labs on key sustainability topics, the Showcase 2030 welcomes a long list of international speakers and organizations that come together to jointly develop a roadmap for scaling solutions for a net positive planet.
On 14th June Space4Impact is running a day program on Showcasing the Potential of Space Technologies to spotlight how space technologies can be utilized towards the Sustainable Development Goals. The session features a keynote by Dr. Claudia Röösli who’s heading Switzerland’s NPOC at the University of Zurich on the topic of Earth Observation 4 Society. Another highlight is the panel discussion for Space Education 4 All, which is supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and features E2MC’s Raphael Roettgen as the moderator, and Luc St-Pierre from UNOOSA, Natália Archinard from the FDFA, and Peter Nicolas from the International Space University as panellists. Raphael Roettgen will also moderate a second a panel on Space 4 Sustainable Finance, with Fabio Graziani from Credit Suisse, Andrew Mullin from EarthDaily Agro and Jodi Bartin from Citicourt & Co. The session is closed by a panel moderated by Mathieu Bailly from CYSEC, with Federico Belloni from Astrocast, Claudia Röösli and Dave Gebhardt from EarthDaily Agro. The event is also the demo day of the 2022 cohort of the Space2Earth Accelerator. Throughout the program, the startups worked on cases from Nespresso, ECOM, SICPA, Vaudoise, AXA, EY, S&P Global, Citicourt & Co and Credit Suisse to showcase the implementation of their product and gather market knowledge. Some of the startups from Space2Earth cohort are among the 30 selected Impact Startups represented at the Showcase 2030, which is a great opportunity to network with the ecosystem and meet investors.
